JD and Shawna Danberg were looking for something more when AdvoCare came into their lives. “I know so many people who live a life of quiet desperation where they’re doing a job they don’t like, and I just want to shake people sometimes and say, ‘you don’t have to do that’,” Shawna said, “You can have more money, you can have more finances and live out what you’ve been called to do. That’s what we get to do every day with AdvoCare.”
JD says it was that very calling to do something more that brought the couple to AdvoCare. “I always had a desire to impact people’s lives, and in the environment I was working in I couldn’t do it. Before AdvoCare, I was a stone mason doing custom stone work. I just didn’t’ know anything else. I graduated from high school and knew I had responsibilities, so I just took a job, because I had to provide for my family,” he said.
The Danbergs say they lived their life pay check to pay check before AdvoCare and knew something needed to change. “We wanted to have the life we saw other people having that were doing AdvoCare, so we started pursuing this as a business. Right away, we began earning income, which was able to keep me home,” Shawna said, “And just over a year ago, we were able to get JD out of his job.”
Today JD and Shawna are earning between $10,000 and $15,000 a month with AdvoCare. “We are stay-at-home parents at 31,” Shawna said, “JD gets to coach the boys football team and take them to school. We get to spend time with them and just really pour into their lives like we’ve always wanted to do.”
JD added, “You know it all comes down to choices. And you can choose to be broke, you can choose to be mediocre or you can choose to say, ‘I’m not going to settle for that,’ and that’s where AdvoCare comes in. It’s the greatest vehicle to share with somebody, because it’s brought freedom for me and my family financially. You can do it. You just have to make the choice.”
