Poor diets, lack of aerobic exercise and other environmental stressors are key factors leading to cellular energy depletion, which slows our body's ability to recover, adjust, reenergize, and protect itself. This cellular energy is produced by engines in the cells known as mitochondria, which work less efficiently without fuel supplied by proper diet. Mitochondria produce energy in the body through ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production. Studies have shown that individuals consuming a Mediterranean diet had lower instances of cardiovascular disease and other health conditions prevalent as adults age. Further investigation has isolated specific ingredients contributing to these health benefits.
THE SOLUTION: Bio-RQ
Bio-RQ is formulated with four widely recognized and vastly beneficial ingredients that are common in the Mediterranean diet. These ingredients, known as phytonutrients since they come from plants, have a synergistic effect on overall wellness and healthy aging.* These vital phytonutrients are found naturally in the body, but are often depleted by our American diet and lifestyle. This is why Bio-RQ is an important addition to anyone's diet.* These four ingredients are:
This powerful antioxidant helps support areas where energy is needed the most, such as the heart and the liver. CoQ10 levels decrease as we age, which is why the need for supplementation increases as we age.
This compound is found naturally in the skins of grapes and berries as well as peanuts, pine trees and Japanese knotwood. This potent antioxidant exhibits beneficial properties for neurological and cardiovascular systems.*
Found almost exclusively in tomatoes and tomato products, Lycopene is a powerful ingredient that provides cardiovascular and immune support and encourages healthy cellular aging.
This leaf from the olive tree contains anti-inflammatory properties, helps support healthy cholesterol levels, and is recognized for its high antioxidant capacity.
Directions For Use:
Take one capsule per day with food.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
A quinone coenzyme with an isoprenoid tail. Also known as ubiquinone. Found virtually in all body cell membranes and energy compartments. The conversion of energy from carbohydrates and fats to ATP, the form of energy used by cells in the body, requires the presence of coenzyme Q10. By functioning as an antioxidant, this nutrient may protect tissue components by neutralizing free radicals and reactive oxygen species produced during the oxidation of fats and carbohydrates.
Resveratrol is a phytoalexin polyphenolic compound found in various plants, including grapes, berries, and peanuts. It is a potent antioxidant that modulates cell signaling and exhibits properties beneficial for neurological, hepatic, and cardiovascular systems. It also modifies eicosanoid synthesis, inhibits activated immune cells, and inhibits inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) via its inhibitory effects on nuclear factor B (NF-kB) or the activator protein-1 (AP-1). Resveratrol is reported to slow aging in simple eukaryotes and has been suggested as a potential calorie restriction mimetic. Resveratrol mimics the beneficial effects of caloric restriction and extends longevity in yeast, nematodes, and flies. Resveratrol has been reported to be a sirtuin agonist, and this property has been proposed to account for its anti-aging effects.
Trans-Resveratrol - Polygonum cuspidatum root (also known as Japanese knotweed) is the trans- isomer of Resveratrol. Resveratrol appears to be well-absorbed by humans, but its bioavailability is low because it is rapidly metabolized and eliminated. Of the two Resveratrol isomers, cis- and trans-, the trans- configuration is the more biologically active isomer. Resveratrol is a potent antioxidant that exhibits beneficial properties for the neurological and cardiovascular systems.
Lycopene is a red carotenoid pigment and is one of the most potent antioxidants among dietary carotenoids. Supplementation of Lycopene helps maintain heart, prostate, immune and cellular health. Studies indicate that it also diminishes the level of bone resorption in postmenopausal women. Tomatoes and tomato products are the richest dietary sources of Lycopene. Other sources include pink grapefruit, watermelon, rosehip, pink guava, papaya and apricots.
Olive Leaf - Olea europaea L., an evergreen tree characterized by gray-green leaves and small, dark purple oval fruit, is cultivated throughout the Mediterranean basin. The olive tree has been esteemed throughout history and documentation of traditional medicinal uses abound. Primary constituents are secoindoids including oleuropein, as well as hydroxytyrosol and various polyphenols, triterpenes and flavonoids. Olive leaves have been demonstrated to have antimicrobial-particularly antiviral, antioxidant, vasodilatory, hypotensive, anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic and cardiovascular benefits.
Polygonum cuspidatum extract (root) supplies 150 mg Trans-Resveratrol, Coenzyme Q-10 (as Ubidecarenone), Olive Leaf Extract, Lycopene extract (fruit), Gelatin, rice flour, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate
