General Health Questions
How should AdvoCare® products be taken by someone on a thyroid medication such as Synthroid?
As a general rule of thumb, for someone taking a thyroid drug such as Synthroid, foods or dietary supplements should not be taken within one hour of taking the medication. Alternatively, the medication should be taken at least four hours after eating or taking dietary supplements. This ensures absorption of the drug. Thyroid drugs are sensitive to minerals and other nutrients which bind to them and prevent their absorption.
