What sweeteners does AdvoCare® use in its products?

There are approximately 30 sweeteners approved by the FDA for human consumption that are deemed to be safe and effective when used appropriately. Sweeteners can be grouped into two categories. Nutritive sweeteners supply calories (energy), bulk, texture, and adhesion. Non-nutritive sweeteners, or as sometimes called "sugar substitutes", do not contribute calories and are non-bulking. FDA-approved non-nutritive sweeteners include sucralose, Acesulfame-K, aspartame, neotame, saccharin and rebaudioside A (reb A).

A more detailed discussion of sweeteners, a comparison of sweetener characteristics, reviews of the safety and efficacy of sweeteners, and a brief summary of sucralose and fructose are presented in the attached PowerPoint presentation.
